Technology Integration Project
Technology has become a basic skill, joining the traditional reading, writing and arithmetic. As educators in the Park Hill School District, we must ensure that the district's students become technologically literate. To meet that goal, each teacher and student must acquire the ability to use computers and other technology to improve learning productivity and performance. Therefore, it is imperative that our daily classroom activities integrate technology as an educational tool. Not to meet this challenge would endanger our students' future, our patrons' confidence and our own professional competence.

Program Description
Course Description Park Hill's Technology Integration Project (TIP) is a collaborative approach to designing and implementing effective lessons utilizing technology. Participants in this staff development course become TIP Team members who research, analyze, create a useful model for, and assess the use of technology in Park Hill's classrooms. The team will be challenged to begin answering questions such as:
Is use of the technology improving instruction in Park Hill Classrooms? How do we know?
What is being done with technology that could not be done before? Why is this better?
How will teachers use the technology that is provided?

The TIP Team will mentor teachers in the effective use of the technology, and evaluate the use of technology in our school's classrooms. More specifically, TIP Teammates will:
collaborate to research effective utilization of technology as an instructional tool
analyze research to design a model for lesson planning with the use of technology
design an evaluative tool to assess the utilization of technology within lessons
mentor teachers within Park Hill's schools in the use of the lesson design model and on the execution of effective instruction utilizing technology
assess teachers use of technology using the evaluative tool the team create
communicate successful implementation of technology through email and web pages
